Servicesat is a technologically driven company, which delivers and supports High Speed Internet Access solutions with an open approach to suppliers and technology. Locations of Servicesat include Gibraltar, Guernsey, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Iraq and Delaware. Servicesat is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Guernsey based Data Transmission Corporation. The company was formed with the direct aim of providing High Speed Internet Access Satellite Services, across a large geographical area, with particular emphasis on the development of “Value Added Services”. Much of Servicesat’s resources are used for developing technology and partnerships in order to offer services which are not yet available from other Internet Access providers. Servicesat is considered unique. With its in-depth knowledge of High Speed Internet Access over Satellite and its experience in two-way satellite, including VSAT’s, its approach to the market is from a purely technological standpoint. The company was founded in the early part of 2002 by a number of entrepreneurs interested in the Internet industry. These founding board members have backgrounds in various fields, including, but not limited to, telecommunications, information technology and finance. The founding directors were joined by a Technical Director recently departed from Hughes Network Systems Europe, where he enjoyed sixteen years of employment latterly as a board member and the technical director of the Hughes European Satellite Business. Servicesat became an authorised distributor of Direcway Services in 2002, operating across the Eutelsat W1 footprint and expanded into the PAS10 and PAS 1R, as well as the Eutelsat W3 footprints, in 2003. In 2003 and 2004, Servicesat expanded its product range with the introduction of a number of key products from other Satellite providers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. New distribution agreements with Tachyon Networks, Satlynx, iDirect and Panamsat were initiated to widen the reach of the opportunities and tailor-made solutions that Servicesat could provide. In 2004 and 2005, Servicesat continued its commitment to the development of its own range of products and recently released its own Auto Deploy self-acquiring Satellite system.
